Torture at my next door

This is not about torture to any adult. This is to a child who makes me intolerable and sad. Most of the days at the evening I can hear that a little child beside my house has been beaten mercilessly. I have never seen her but can only guess her age. Probably she is seven or eight years old. Every evening her mother beats her to make her attentive to studies. I can hear that the child is begging pardon and promising to read attentively. But her mother never bothers her promise. It is like a duty to her mother. One evening I heard that she was telling a guest that if she did not beat her child properly the child would be spoiled.
I believe that there is no reason for torturing the child. Many parents of our society misbehave with their children. They also torture on them. I think that the lives of these children will be spoiled by the torture. I am not a psychologist. I have heard many times that they are requesting the guardians not to torture. But I do not know the importance of psychologists’ advice to the guardians.

I take rest after going back to my house from my office. Most of the days I get up from sleep with the sound of beating at my next door. I go back to my child in my thought. I was also tortured at my childhood which I have almost forgotten at this stage. But beating at my next door reminds me the past. Oh! It is intolerable.
