আজ আমার মন খারাপ

একটা ফোন পেয়ে মন খারাপ হয়ে গেল। আগামী মাসের দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহে আমার আব্বা তার চাকরি থেকে অবসর নেবেন। আব্বা বেসরকারি একটি হাই স্কুলের সহকারী প্রধান শিক্ষক। বেসরকারি হাই স্কুলে এতদিন সহকারী প্রধান শিক্ষকের আলাদা কোনো বেতন স্কেল ছিলনা। খুব সম্ভবত গত বছরই একবার বাসায় যাওয়ার পর আব্বা আমাকে নতুন গ্রেডের আদেশ দেখিয়েছিলেন। কিন্তু ক’দিন পরই শুনি,

Closing educational institutions to ease traffic jam

It was the demand and the Government of Bangladesh has done that. From tomorrow all school and colleges of Bangladesh will remain closed and it will continue till 16 September. The Education Minister, who declared the decision told about the month of Ramadan as reason. He also told that it was difficult for the students as well as parents to come to school at the early morning of Ramadan. That may be a reason as people got up after mid night to take food and perform fasting through out the day. But Education Minister also says, he believes that traffic jam will decrease if the educational institution are closed.

Punishment for Bribe in Bribe Palace

Small sized news has made me sad this morning. Samakal, a national Bengali daily newspaper has published news about bribe at its first column. I found the news attractive and started to read. When I had completed the reading I understood that the news has passed me into a world of sadness. Why?
